Grand Bahama Island COVID-19 Travel Requirements
The health and wellbeing of all who enter or reside in The Bahamas remain the number one priority, and diligent efforts are enforced to minimize the spread of COVID-19. The following travel and entry protocols have been put in place to ensure The Bahamas is a safe and clean destination for all to enjoy during the Dana’s Tuna Frenzy Tournament.
Before departure to The Bahamas, a COVID-19 RT-PCR (swab) test must be taken no more than five (5) days from the date of arrival in The Bahamas. The name and address of the lab where the test was performed must be clearly displayed on the test result. PLEASE NOTE: Children 10 years and under, and flight crews of commercial airlines are exempt from obtaining the RT-PCR test.
Passengers younger than seventeen (17) years not traveling alone may add a profile within the account of the parent/guardian’s Travel Health Visa application, rather than applying for one separately. Households traveling together are encouraged to use one email address per family to receive responses. Groups may also use one email address for responses.
Once in possession of a negative result, passengers will be required to apply for the Bahamas Travel Health Visa by visiting travel.gov.bs (international), where the negative test result must be uploaded. The cost of the Travel Health Visa is dependent upon the length of stay; it includes the COVID-19 Health insurance which covers passengers for the duration of their stay and takes up to 72 hours to process.
State-Side COVID-19 Test
For quick and easy COVID-19 testing we highly recommend Lab Doctor which costs $179.00 including next day result.
