This memorial established along the internet highway is a website created to remember our beloved friend Dana Katz. Her friends will continue to remember her by what she loved most, deep-sea fishing while enjoying the good friends who made her laugh. We will keep her memory alive by growing this Annual Tuna Tournament while basking under her smile for years to come.

All Proceeds will be Donated to the Pelican Harbor Seabird Station

Grand Bahama Island Tuna Fishing Tournament

The Grand Bahama Island, where the world is a little different. An island where colors are more intense and breezes more seductive. A tropical paradise where endless blue sky dips into the bottomless blue Caribbean – where you know not where one begins and the other ends. A true get-a-way island experience where your worries, your responsibilities, and your everyday life slip away.

The Grand Bahama Island includes a beautiful mix of boutique hotels, luxury resorts, gorgeous beaches, championship golf courses, and some of the friendliest people in the world. Grand Bahama Island is one of the most popular islands in all of the Bahamas. Its ecological wonders and bounty of natural riches have brought explorers to the gorgeous shores for over 7,000 years.

Located just 55 miles east of Florida, Grand Bahama Island is nestled among miles upon miles of powder-white sands, nature preserves and emerald-green seas. The variety of cultural experiences and natural wonders makes Grand Bahama Island ideal for everything from kayaking, dolphin watching and eco-adventures to jeep safaris, scuba diving and bike tours.

Every year the Grand Bahama Island gets the first crack at many of the most well known sports fish like Marlin, Wahoo, Sailfish, Tuna and Mahi-Mahi because of yearly Altantic migration of these fish. Serious anglers often come here hoping to break one of 50 lucrative world records established in the Bahamas.
